Black Sabbath
Previous Names: Polka Tulk Blues Band, Polka Tulk, Earth
Named after the 1963 horror anthology "Black Sabbath" starring Boris Karloff.
The film was playing across the street from one of their shows while they were still going by the name of "Earth", which Ozzy never liked. This inspired a song by the same name and then later they changed the band name as well.
